NCAA Tournament
Today is the first day of the 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Division I Tournament, or more appropriately called March Madness. So far, it has certainly lived up to the Madness. As I write this, the first days games are not yet over, and there has been an upset in 4 out of 11 of the games. I believe that this day may possibly be the best day of the year in sports. Everybody is excited about their brackets because everyone believes they have filled out a perfect bracket, and they will easily win the bracket pool with their friends. Then when the game starts, everybody has their phone in their laps, live streaming a game between a couple of teams they may have never heard of, but they passionately root for who they picked. More often than I'd like to admit, my dreams of a perfect bracket almost always go out the door within the first two hours of the tournament, just like this year. However, my champion is still kicking, and I have to feel good about that. Go Huskies.

Every year I contemplate making a bracket, but I never do because I really know absolutely nothing on the subject. I do watch some of the games as they're (usually) close and exciting at the end. I forget what team it was, but one team won on a half-court buzzer-beater over the weekend and it was insane.
ReplyDeleteMarch Madness certainly lives up to its name. Like everyone else, I think I always pick the perfect bracket. So naturaly I get very angry when my bracket inevitably falls apart in a heap of upsets. The crazy thing is I dont really follow college basketball at all, so why should I even be upset? I guess like the rest of the country, I just get caught up in the madness.
